WHAT'S THE LATEST NEWS?
AC Milan are the latest European heavyweights, after Bayern Munich, to express an interest in Man City's Swedish teenage striker John Guidetti, who's bagged a remarkable 18 goals in 16 league games on loan at Feyenoord this year.
DID YOU KNOW?
1) Man City fought off competition from a host of Italian clubs, including Inter and Roma, to secure Guidetti's signature when he was just 15, in April 2008.
2) The youngster's paternal granddad is Italian and his maternal granddad is from Brazil, though he opted to represent Sweden, where he was born and raised, and earned his first call up to the senior team this week, for a friendly in Croatia.
3) Guidetti enjoyed a splendid first season with Man City's youth team after moving to Manchester from Swedish side Brommapojkarna, scoring 13 times in as many games. Last season, he spent a five-game spell with Burnley, where he started twice and scored in a 2-1 victory at Barnsley.
4) City allowed his contract to run out in the summer of 2011 when rumours persisted that Guidetti had signed for FC Twente on a free transfer, until his inclusion on City's tour of the USA confirmed he'd actually penned a new three-year deal at the Etihad.
5) Guidetti scored league hat-tricks in three consecutive home games for Feyenoord this year, two of them against high-flying FC Twente and Ajax, but turned from hero to villain on his last outing when, having scored a 77th minute penalty which looked to have given Feyenoord victory over RKC Waalwijk, he whipped his top off, received a second yellow card and got his marching orders. The game ended all square.
