Step aside Pogba – is this young midfielder the future of Man United?

talkSPORT takes a look at another bright prospect in the making at Man United…
WHO IS HE?
Young Norwegian midfielder Mats Daehli has been labelled one of the club's most exciting prospects and, starring in an academy that has produced more than its fair share of first team players over the years, he's in good hands.
THE NITTY GRITTY
Name: Mats Daehli
Date of birth: 02/03/95
Place of birth: Oslo, Norway
Position: Midfielder
Club: Man United
International honours: Norway U-15, 16 and 18 international
FIVE FACTS
1) Man United signed him in July 2011 from Norwegian club Stabaek, beating off European clubs Bayern and Ajax to the 16-year-old's signature. Reports first surfaced of United's interest in Daehli in November 2010 and he signed a professional contract on his 17th birthday.
2) The Norwegian has demonstrated good awareness, vision and passing, plus close control when running with the ball. Daehli can play through the middle and on the left and right of midfield, too.
3) Following an outstanding display against Charlton in the FA Youth Cup, which the United youngsters won 3-2, Daehli was promoted to the reserve team. He got his chance to shine when he came on for Ezekiel Fryers in the 1-0 defeat to West Brom, with the appearance coming days after his 17th birthday.
4) He is part of the Man United FA Youth Cup side that are bidding to become the first Red Devils team to win back-to-back FA Youth Cups since the Busby Babes of the '50s that dominated the tournament between 1953 and 1957. However, first they will have to overcome a 2-1 first leg semi final deficit against Chelsea on 13 April.
5) He was included in the Norway U18 side for the first time in late March 2012 and put in an assured performance against Serbia in his country's 1-0 win.
