The stats that prove Mario Gomez is the Champions League’s greatest goalscorer

Chelsea's Champions League victory is looking increasingly more unlikely. Roberto Di Matteo will be forced to field a defence without stalwart John Terry and right-back Branislav Ivanovic against a striker who has scored more goals-per-minute than any other player in the history of the Champions League.
In the current campaign, Gomez has scored from almost one in every three chances with a shooting accuracy of 72% (28 of 39 shots on target). This compares to Didier Drogba scoring one in every four with an accuracy of only 40% (8 of 20 shots on target).
Do you think the Chelsea defence will be able to handle the Bayern hitman?
