Liverpool transfer rumours: Could this forward be Liverpool’s next big signing?

Reports have claimed that Liverpool are about to launch a bid for Fenerbahce forward Moussa Sow, with Brendan Rodgers keen to further strengthen the club's attack. With Daniel Sturridge on board and Fabio Borini fit again, it seems an unlikely move, but Sow has been frequently scouted by Premier League clubs, so a move to these shores is not out of the question. talkSPORT's Transfer Spotlight takes a closer look at the Frenchman to find out more...

What's the latest?
Sow only joined Turkish side Fenerbahce in mid-2012, but Turkish paper Fanatik Gazetesi have claimed that he could already be on his way out, with Liverpool preparing a £10m bid to lure him to Anfield. It is believed that Brendan Rodgers is still looking for an additional striker to join Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge, and with PSG's Kevin Gamiero unlikely to be available, Sow may be the next best option.
Did you know?
1) Born in Mantes-la-Jolie to Senegalese parents, Sow was spotted by Rennes as a youngster in 2003. The striker soon joined their academy, where he came through the ranks in the same generation as Yoann Gourcuff.
2) Sow caught the attention of Rennes supporters when he scored a brace against Corte in a French Cup tie in 2006, in one of his first games for the club. In 2007 he was loaned out to CS Sedan in order to gain experience, where he was mainly used on the left wing. Decent displays with the side, including reaching the semi-finals of the French Cup, earned him a recall to Rennes in 2008.
3) The striker had an excellent season with Rennes in 2008/09, finishing as their top scorer with 13 goals in all competitions. The following year, however, the arrival of Asamoah Gyan meant he played far less, and with only nine starts and three goals in the league in 2009/10, he moved on to Lille on a free transfer.
4) A strong pre-season with Lille was followed by Sow's first Ligue 1 hat-trick against SM Caen in October 2010. He scored his second less than two months later, helping Rennes to beat Lorient 6-3 in December of that year. Lille went on to win the league and cup double, with Sow finishing their top scorer on 25 goals, earning him a move to Fenerbahce. His time in Turkey has been relatively succesful, winning the Turkish Cup in his first season with the club.
5) Sow played for France at youth level and won the 2005 U19 European Championship with the French side. He decided to switch his allegiance to Senegal, the country of his parents, in 2009.
