Christopher Samba's club-record £12.5m transfer to QPR in January was a statement of intent by both Harry Redknapp and owner Tony Fernandes designed to turn the tide on the club's disastrous start to the season. However, the centre-back's nightmare performance against Fulham at Craven Cottage was anything but worthy of his hefty price-tag, leading to the Congolese to bite back at criticism levelled at him on Twitter.

Rangers' precarious position in the table could see the signing of Samba blow up in their face, but is he the worst short term fix in top flight history?
