The Moose hits back over Carroll

I totally stand by my statement on Matchday Live last Saturday, that Andrew Carroll is not ready to represent England as a professional footballer.

I call as my first witness Mr Chris Hughton (manager of Newcastle United). Mr Hughton didn't see fit to include Mr Carroll in the first team last weekend for his club Newcastle.

I call as my second witness Mr Fabio Capello (manager of England). Mr Capello didn't see fit to include Mr Carroll in his 23 man squad for the game against Montenegro.

Not just my mind, but the minds of the managers of Newcastle and England are one.....I rest my case.

On the completely seperate matter of the personal attack on me from my friend and colleague of 20 years, that I am the fattest and most unfit person he knows. Suffice to say in my mind Mr Durham remains one of the best sports presenters in British radio and a good friend, if a little misguided and blinkered over how good the Newcastle number 9 is right now.
