Durham’s Premier League team of the Weekend – 16/17 October

The ginger whinger and Drive Time host, Adrian Durham, guides us through the top performers from this weekend's Premier League games.

1) Heurelho Gomes - probably went unnoticed but made some super saves. Spurs look better with him in goal

2) Phil Neville - for nutmegging Joe Cole

3) Ashley Cole - divorce has done him good

4) Phil Jagielka - considering he wasn't meant to play, he was outstanding.

5) Gary Cahill - handled Stoke well. Why did O'Neill let him leave Villa?

6) Tom Huddlestone - all round quality and great goal which wasn't offside

7) Jack Wilshere - some amazing touches, great vision, and it wasn't a red card

8) Seamus Coleman - just brilliant on the right of midfield for Everton

9) Steve Gerrard - Roy is wrong, Liverpool were awful but the skipper's range of passing and energy was amazing. He's brilliant.

10) David Silva - stunning sub. Goal of the season so far

11) Carlos Tevez - his goal record is amazing. He's busy, quality and can finish

Substitutes

12) Tim Cahill - showed why he is so important to Everton, bullied virtually every Liverpool player and scored a terrific goal

13) Rafael van der Vart - just for the touch and chip that led to Spurs' equaliser.

14) Charlie Adam - he's not the all round player but he showed quality

15) Elliot Grandin - showed some real quality against City

16) Chris Brunt - inspirational in West Brom's comeback at United. A really good player
