Warnock: Walker won’t let England down

Neil Warnock claims Tottenham defender Kyle Walker is good enough to play for England in their friendly match against Sweden.
The Rangers boss managed Walker during their time together at Sheffield United and QPR and believes the 21-year-old has learned to temper his attacking instincts.
“He won’t let England down,” Warnock told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show. “When he played for Spurs against QPR at Loftus Road he didn’t do a lot going forward because Shaun Wright-phillips did very, very well against him.
“I just thought it showed that he’d matured a little bit, sometimes when you’re that desperate to get forward sometimes you go at the wrong time and you get a little bit excited.
“His defensive side has been questionable in the last few years but he’s getting better in the last few years and especially in the last six months.”
