Barclay: Carrick can plug Man United’s gap in midfield

Renowned football writer Paddy Barclay joins Sam Delaney and Micky Quinn to cast his eye across the Boxing Day football results, which saw Manchester United pull level with Manchester City at the top of the Premier League.

Barclay reckons that midfielder Michael Carrick is slowly beginning to regain his form of old, which saw United sign him, and he can plug the gap in their midfield. He also speaks glowingly of winger Antonio Valencia's ability to slot in at right full-back like a seasoned pro.
