Mat Kendrick on how Aston Villa can avoid relegation

Aston Villa correspondent Mat Kendrick told the Football First show that the club had their best performance in a month during Saturday’s draw 2-2 with West Brom.

Kendrick, who writes for the Birmingham Mail, feels that if the club can tighten up at the back they will survive given their striking options of Christian Benteke, Gabby Agbonlahor and Darren Bent.

He went on to admit though that there is too much pressure placed on the shoulders of 22-year-old Benteke, who has scored seven league goals for the club.
