McFadden on Di Canio’s controversial appointment at Sunderland

Editor of the fanzine ‘A love supreme’ looks at the club’s controversial selection of Paolo Di Canio to replace Martin O’Neill.

He looks at the rifts in the city that their new manager’s politics have caused and hopes his statement declaring that he is not a racist or a fascist will put the issues to bed.

And McFadden insists that, despite the current problems surrounding the club, Sunderland will retain their Premier League status.
