Mikel on Chelsea’s 2-1 victory over Sunderland

Chelsea star John Obi Mikel looks back on the 2-1 victory for Rafa Benitez's side against Sunderland.

The Blues have tightened their grip on a Champions League place after a 2-1 Premier League victory over Sunderland at Stamford Bridge.

Paolo Di Canio was on the touchline for his first match as Black Cats manager but was unable to stop his side slipping to their third defeat in four games.

The away side had the best of the first half and took the lead just seconds before the break as Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta turned Adam Johnson's cross into his own net.

That lead to boos at half time but the Blues came out of the blocks flying following the break and quickly drew level. Fernando Torres’ perfect pass was hit by Oscar, whose shot just crept over the line after a deflection off Matthew Kilgallon.
