YouTuber Hugh Wizzy is coming to talkSPORT

talkSPORT has signed the YouTuber and sports journalist, Hugh Wizzy, as its latest pundit to cover the World Cup.
‘Hugh Wizzy’s Mission to Moscow’ will give the audience a three times a week lowdown as he attempts to prove he’s worthy of making talkSPORT’s team to Russia, conducting interviews with celebrity fans, footballers and more.
The show will be, in a talkSPORT first, simulcast live on Facebook as well as on talkSPORT2 - bringing Hugh Wizzy’s high-energy broadcasting style to new audiences.
Announcing his appointment in true Hugh Wizzy style, the new voice of talkSPORT’s World Cup coverage roped in a few familiar faces to spoof the viral video of this summer “Come to Besiktas”.
Ray Parlour, Joey Barton and Sam Allardyce all took a starring role in the clip to announce their new talkSPORT teammate.
Announcing Hugh’s appointment, Liam Fisher, National Controller Wireless Group, said: “We’re really excited to welcome Hugh Wizzy to our line-up and to open up our coverage to new audiences through Facebook. No doubt he will be the authentic voice of the fan in his coverage, bringing exciting and energetic interviews and insights to the listeners.”
Hugh Wizzy said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be joining the talkSPORT family. I did work experience here as a 15-year-old, so to be returning to the same building but this time hosting my own show; it’s an amazing feeling. With the Russia World Cup on the horizon, I can’t wait to get talking to a brand new radio audience but also continue to engage with my followers online.”
‘Hugh Wizzy’s Mission to Moscow’ will air every Tuesday and Friday from 6-7pm and Saturdays from 1-2pm – all on talkSPORT 2 - available via DAB, online and the talkSPORT app.
