Colly’s Call: 22/10/10 – 23/10/10

Saturday 23 October

Spurs Vs. Everton, 12.45pm
Prediction: 3-2
“On the back of their derby win against Liverpool, Everton will think they can go to White Hart Lane and get a result. It will be a high-scoring game and I really fancy Spurs to create chances likewise with Everton.”

Birmingham Vs. Blackpool, 3pm
Prediction: 1-0
“Blackpool have gone out and attacked teams this season while Birmingham have leaked goals at home, which wasn't the case in the last campaign. However, I do think that Birmingham will be too organised and too strong for Ian Holloway's side.”

Chelsea Vs. Wolves, 3pm
Prediction: 3-0
“Chelsea are playing at home therefore I think you're looking at a few goals without reply from the away side. I saw the Blues against Villa and they kept the ball very well, particularly in the second half. Wolves have picked up points against Tottenham but it's a different story when you play Chelsea and it will be a comfortable victory for them.”

Sunderland Vs. Aston Villa, 3pm
Prediction: 1-2
“It's a tough one for Villa, although they play well away from home and have good attacking players in Marc Albrighton and Ashley Young. It'll be interesting to see if Emile Heskey comes back and whether Darren Bent will be fit for Sunderland. Villa have a decent record at the Stadium of Light so that's why I'm going for them.”

West Brom Vs. Fulham, 3pm
Prediction: 2-0
“Fulham are woeful away from home whereas West Brom have proved to be very good at The Hawthorns. We saw them getting hammered by Chelsea on talkSPORT's Matchday Live but they've beaten Arsenal at The Emirates and took a point at Old Trafford. The manager Roberto Di Matteo has been very good at keeping his players' feet on the ground in the wake of the team's excellent results.”

Wigan Vs. Bolton, 3pm
Prediction: 1-1
“I can see Bolton getting something out of this and with Klasnic and Davies up front and Chung-Yong Lee playing well at the weekend, the Trotters can be very dangerous. Wigan, with N'Zogbia in the side, got a point up at Newcastle and are like Jekyll and Hyde.”

West Ham Vs. Newcastle, 5.30pm
Prediction: 1-1
“Both are very inconsistent and I don't think either have the form nor quality to win the game. I think Piquionne has done well leading the line at West Ham and Scotty Parker never lets his team down whereas Newcastle's Andy Carroll will want to prove a few people wrong after the week that he's had.”

Sunday 24 October

Stoke Vs. Man United, 1.30pm
Prediction: 0-1
“Stoke will make it difficult for United. It will be very tough as the Britannia Stadium will be rocking because it's always very noisy. Up front Stoke have two very strong players in Kenwyne Jones and Ricardo Fuller but I think United need the points and when they've needed them in the past, they've tended to get them.”

Man City Vs. Arsenal, 3pm
Prediction: 1-1
“I expect Arsenal to have lots of possession and City to be very defensive, mind you they have some quality players. It'll be down to the likes of Alex Song to try and prevent Carlos Tevez causing problems. Arsenal's best form of defence is to attack and I think they will score but so to will City.”

Liverpool Vs. Blackburn, 4pm
Prediction: 2-1
“It's all a bit doom and gloom up at Liverpool. Blackburn always make it difficult and Sam Allardyce has said plenty about how his team play good football nowadays. They lost at Stoke, won at Blackpool and drew at Fulham and while there's nothing to suggest that Liverpool will get a victory, I still think they'll nick it although they need a massive improvement across the park.”
