Sneijder reveals childhood hell: If our team lost we’d get footballs kicked at us as punishment!

Inter-Milan midfielder Wesley Sneijder describes winning matches 18-nil as a child and says he still ‘wants to win everything’. The Dutch star also reveals that, when he was a kid, if his team lost they would kick footballs at each other as punishment. Perhaps Capello should start employing this technique with the England team?

He also describes how he will ‘not be judged' by his size – a quick Google reveals the Dutch star stands at 5ft 6. In the words of The Simpsons’ Nelson Muntz: HA-HA! Still, given that he’s a World Cup runner-up and a Champions League winner, the fact he has to go on tip-toes to reach the cookie jar probably doesn’t keep him awake at night...

Wesley Sneijder is promoting the original classic, Nike Air Max 90. The latest versions include reissued colours and are part of Nike's 'I am the rules' campaign, which has also includes Arsenal's Arshavin and Chamakh.

Nike Air Max 90 are available at Foot Locker stores and their website
