The Heisman Trophy finalists have been revealed.

And there are no surprises.

The two favorites, Travis Hunter and Ashton Jeanty, are headed to New York City for the Heisman Trophy ceremony, along with quarterbacks Dillon Gabriel and Cam Ward.

It's a dynamic field that consists of a cornerback/wide receiver from Colorado, a running back from Boise State, a quarterback from Oregon and a quarterback from Miami.

A lot different than in recent years, where it's just been quarterbacks who have dominated the field.

This year, Hunter and Jeanty are leading the way.

Hunter has had a year unlike any other in college football history. He is a two-way phenom that has played both wide receiver and cornerback at an elite level.

He is the odds-on favorite to take home the award.

Not far behind Hunter, is Jeanty.

He is chasing down Barry Sanders' all-time leading rushing record in the NCAA, as he has led his Broncos to the three seed in the College Football Playoff.

In any other season, Jeanty would have run away (no pun intended), with the award, but because Hunter is doing things that have quite literally never been done before, Jeanty might walk away empty-handed.

Rounding out the rest of the field are Gabriel and Ward.

Gabriel has led Oregon to the only undefeated season in the FBS, while leading the Ducks to a Big Ten title in their first season in the conference, along with the number one overall seed in the CFP.

The Ducks have been the most dominant team in college football, in large part to the play of Gabriel.

The other fellow quarterback, Ward, led the Hurricanes to a 10-2 record, putting 'the U' back on the map, but just missing out on the playoff.

Miami, along with Alabama, were the first two teams out of the field.

Regardless, Ward put on an impressive season, throwing for 36 touchdowns, which led the FBS.

The Heisman Trophy ceremony will take place on December 14th.
