Snoop Dogg's quick thinking saw a memorable end to a WrestleMania match at the weekend.

It certainly wasn't part of the script when 53-year-old Shane McMahon, the son of owner Vince, tore his quad in a tussle with The Miz at 'The Show of Shows'.

McMahon could be seen landing awkwardly, resulting in medical staff having to roll him out of the ring.

And Snoop Dogg stepped up to save the show by entering the ring to take McMahon's place.

Snoop floored The Miz before he produced his version of The Rock's People's Elbow to secure his first ever official WWE victory.

The American does have experience when it comes to wrestling and is even part of the WWE Hall of Fame.

He is commonly known for his voice, having sold over 37 million albums worldwide.

Though, he does boast a wrestling family background, given he's cousins with WWE legend Sasha Banks, named Mercedes Mone outside of the company.

McMahon's injury was reminiscent of his dad's horrific injury in 2005 when he tore BOTH his quads.

It was the Royal Rumble and Batista and John Cena were both dominating WWE’s main event scene on RAW and SmackDown respectively at that time.

At The Rumble, Batista was due to win and set up a WrestleMania date with Triple H.

Yet the finish went horribly wrong when Cena countered a Batista Bomb with a head scissors takedown and both men went tumbling over the top rope and hit the floor at the exact same time.

It wasn't meant to happen and McMahon stormed out to personally intervene, running to the ring where what can only be described as 'excruciating pain' set in.
