CM Punk mobbed by fans after shock WWE return and Triple H reveals just how it happened

CM Punk made a shock return to the WWE at Survivor Series on Saturday night.
The whole build-up to the event was about Randy Orton's comeback to the promotion.
He starred in the main event in Chicago, but it was former UFC fighter CM Punk who stole the show.
The 45-year-old ended his nine-year exile from WWE, having also spent the last two years with rival promotion All-Elite Wrestling (AEW).
Following the conclusion of the WarGames main event, and just as the show was about to go off-air, CM Punk's 'Cult of Personality' music played out.
He entered the arena dressed in a white t-shirt and jeans, much to the shock of fans in attendance and at home.

Videos then showed CM Punk being mobbed by fans outside the arena as he left.
Triple H later revealed all on how his return for the first time since Royal Rumble in 2014 came about.
"This was one of those lightning in a bottle moments that came together very quickly, but we are incredibly excited about it," he said.
"It's been a long time and in some ways been a long time coming. You know, you can say this about CM Punk. Love him, hate him, positive, negative, whatever you want to say, people talk about him all the time.

"And for me if our fans want it, if the WWE Universe is excited to have it then let's go. And we'll figure out the rest of it from there.

"It didn't start to come to fruition until everybody stopped thinking it was going to happen, and then all of a sudden it was happening."
