The annual over-the-top-rope extravaganza is the company's first major event of the new calendar year and it's one to remember.

The Royal Rumble pay-per-view is so named after the modified battle royal in which 30 competitors continuously enter at timed intervals.

Modern stars and returning icons compete in the men's and women's showpiece matches in a bid to get a title shot at WrestleMania.

Royal Rumble 2024: What has been said?

WWE superstar Bayley told talkSPORT's Will Gavin she is out for glory at Royal Rumble, but has a bigger purpose in mind too.

She said: "My main goal since I've come back from injury is wanting to give back and wanting to give people that spotlight, which obviously has been Iyo and Dakota in this last year-and-a-half or so.

"So watching Iyo cashing in and winning the title at SummerSlam was just as meaningful as when I won Money at the Bank and when I cashed in because it is time for the viewers to see different people, for the eyes to be on these other girls that might not have got that opportunity.

"Anyway I can help anybody, whether I am facing them, I am against them in the ring, or whether they are teaming with me, or whether I am just talking to them backstage, I always want to help elevate and get eyes on people and better the division.

"I think Damage Ctrl has definitely been doing that. So those are the moments I really strive for but I haven't done anything and I have to win the Royal Rumble on January 27 - and that is what I am focused on right now."
