The eye-watering net worth of this year’s WrestleMania 40 Night 1 match featuring The Rock and Roman Reigns

The main event for the first night of WrestleMania has now been confirmed as The Rock wrestles for the first time in over a decade.
Dwayne Johnson will team with real life cousin, Roman Reigns, in an epic tag team encounter against foes Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 40.
The two teams collide in a bout designed to set the scene for the following evening’s Night Two bout between Reigns and Rhodes for the Undisputed Universal Championship.
Indeed, it’s a match where the storyline stakes could barely be higher. Victory for The Bloodline pair of Rock and Reigns ensures that the Sunday meeting for the gold will be contested under bloodline rules – basically anything goes.
Should Rhodes and Rollins prevail, The Bloodline will be barred from ringside on the night, leaving champ Reigns in decidedly more peril.
However the tag match plays out, it’s nonetheless a titanic meeting between four of WWE’s blockbuster stars – not least The Rock, who returns to the squared circle for a first meaningful outing in over ten years.
The People’s Champ did technically grapple for the sports entertainment giant as recently as 2016, but that was a mere six-second squash match at WrestleMania 32 against Erick Rowan.
As such, the April 6 headline bout represents the chance for WWE fans to see The Rock in serious action for the first time since 2013, when he lost the WWE Championship to John Cena.
WrestleMania 40 comes from Philadelphia over the weekend of April 6 and 7, and will be loaded with high-profile stars, not least the quartet at the top of the first night’s card.
Between them, Rock, Reigns, Rhodes and Rollins boast a staggering net worth of $825million, a shade under £645million, according to .
It will come as little surprise that The Rock, one of the biggest movie stars on the planet, accounts for much of that heavyweight sum, with a reported worth of $800million on his own.
The multi-time former world champion edged into Hollywood near the turn of the millennium and has featured sparingly in WWE across the last 25 years as those commitments dominate.
Of the current WWE stars among the four, Reigns is rated at having the second highest net worth at $14million – or just under £11million.
The Tribal Chief himself has reduced his wrestling commitments in recent years after switching to a WWE contract featuring far less dates than his full-time run.
A staple part of WWE’s roster for quite some time has been Rollins, a former member of The Shield alongside Reigns.
Rollins has established himself as one of the most popular and charismatic performers on the roster and is reportedly worth a cool $9million, or £7million.
Bringing up the rear in this four-man rich list is Rhodes, who spent his formative wrestling years with WWE before leaving and, eventually, helping to set up and spearhead All Elite Wrestling alongside
Tony Khan, Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks.
Rhodes returned to WWE in 2022 and has been chasing top male titleholder Reigns ever since. His reported worth is a not-too-shabby $2million, or £1.55million.
The multi-layered rivalry between the two pairings continued to heat up this past Friday on Smackdown when Rhodes delivered a stinging slap to The Rock after the veteran claimed: “You’re 20 years younger than your siblings because you were a mistake.â€
The show went off the air, with The Rock reeling from the blow.
