Raw results 30/1 – Triple H sends in the destroyer to combat Seth Rollins

Triple H has a new destroyer in the shape of Samoa Joe

They say you should be careful what you wish for and last night so it proved for Seth Rollins as he finally got a response from Triple H.

Rollins invasion of NXT Takeover on Saturday night saw him banned from Sunday’s Royal Rumble, but the Architect was back on Monday Night Raw and once again gunning for Triple H. His threats went as far as Stephanie McMahon, who demanded an apology out of Rollins for his actions over the weekend, but instead all he apologised for was showing Triple H as a gutless snake and that he wouldn’t rest until he got his hands on ‘The Game’. Leaving Stephanie to reveal that Rollins wouldn’t have to wait long, as her husband was indeed in the building.

Triple H’s appearance was saved until the show’s final segment and WWE’s COO explained that he was the one who made Rollins and how he doesn’t want to be that guy anymore who ends careers and crushes dreams. With that he called out Seth, but just as Rollins was about to enter the ring Samoa Joe appeared from underneath the ring and attacked him. Joe continued the beatdown as Triple H walked to the back, and the show closed with Joe choking out Rollins and standing tall as the authority’s newest destroyer.

The show began in celebration for WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens as he thanked best friend Chris Jericho for his moral support in his victory over Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble. However, the bigger help came in the form of Braun Strowman who marched down to the ring and demanded his title shot Owens had promised him in passing a couple of weeks ago. Raw GM made the match for later in the night, but the tables were this time turned on the ‘Monster Among Men’. After putting Y2J through the announce table and then dominating Owens, Roman Reigns hit the ring seeking his own retribution and attacked Strowman causing the disqualification. Rubberstamping his point with a vicious spear from the steel steps and sending Strowman crashing to the floor.

Another man seeking his own retribution was Brock Lesnar, who made an unscheduled appearance on Raw along with Paul Heyman, with one agenda in mind - Goldberg. Heyman finally conceded that Goldberg had become that one man his Beast cannot seem to conquer, but made a challenge to the WCW icon for one more match. Their final fight and the end of their story, at WrestleMania 33.

Elsewhere, Bayley teamed with Sheamus and Cesaro to defeat new Tag Team Champions Gallows and Anderson along with Charlotte Flair, Nia Jax continued her domination over Sasha Banks, and Neville’s cruiserweight coronation was crashed by former champ Rich Swann.
