For years after wrestling ‘permanently’, The Beast continued to command top billing in WWE as a part-time performer, ending The Undertaker’s legendary undefeated WrestleMania streak and winning championships aplenty.

He did so with an intense, hard-hitting style inside the ring and a simmering, brooding character around it – leaving almost all of his talking to his on-screen advocate Paul Heyman.

As such, it has only been in more recent years, with Lesnar performing even more sparingly, that fans have begun to appreciate the finer aspects of Lesnar the performer, too.

Wrestling stars, too, have spilled the beans on what The Beast is really like to work with, the behemoth generally regarded as a proficient professional with a diligence that makes a mockery of his brutish exterior.

“He came up to me and shook my hand and was like: ‘Hey, welcome.’ I was like: ‘Woah. This is awesome.’

“He was really awesome, and Roman Reigns is really cool too. He’s a really nice guy.”
