WWE exclusive: NXT’s Charlotte guarantees she will become a WWE main eventer

WWE’s fastest-rising female star Charlotte has vowed to lead the charge for women’s wrestling and top the bill of a major pay-per-view event.

The NXT Women’s champion, 28, set out her stall on talkSPORT’s Gorilla Position podcast, saying she intended to break new ground for the Divas and become a main eventer, declaring: “I want to revolutionize women’s wrestling.”

Charlotte, daughter of WWE legend Ric Flair, has been signed to WWE’s developmental brand since 2012 and is tipped to become the company’s first female headliner.

“We’ve only given a taste [so far], that’s only a little bit of what the girls can do down here,” she reflected.

The 5 foot 10 inch star, who has drawn plaudits for her uncompromising and assured in-ring performances, said her Divas division colleagues were equally determined to break new ground.

“I don’t know how long it will take, but we won’t stop until we prove to the world NXT means business,” Charlotte promised.

“I guess that sounds clichéd but that’s what I want to do. I want to be taken as… I know we’re not men, but I want to be a main eventer.

“I know one day I will main event a pay-per-view. It might not be Wrestlemania, but it will be a pay-per-view.”
