However, a visit from a group of wrestling legends left one member of the party regretting his order.

The Great Muta, real name Keiji Muto, headed to the Bishop Blaize in Manchester with fellow wrestling legend Mark Henry on Sunday.

Their visit to the pub near Old Trafford came as part of their trip to the UK for a wrestling convention in the city.

For the Love of Wrestling at the BEC Arena is Europe's largest wrestling gathering.

Muto shared a series of snaps to social media from their trip to Wetherspoons, including his dissatisfaction with his order.

The Japanese wrestler posed with his food, writing: "Tonight we're having a small celebration at a British sports bar!

"I ordered katsu curry and ramen. But how does it taste?"

Muto soon revealed what he made of the dishes with his next upload to X.

In the snap, he could be seen wincing whilst holding up his bowl of ramen noodles, adding: "The katsu curry was okay, but... As for the ramen... what the heck is this?!"

Despite not being impressed by the food, Muto, Henry and the rest of their group were in good spirits at the pub.

Another series of photos showed them smiling for the camera as they enjoyed their night out together.

Muto celebrated their reunion in the caption as he said: "Reunion with friends - to Japan."

The 62-year-old retired from wrestling in 2023 after a career spanning almost 30 years.

During that time he competed in both his native Japan and the USA, including a brief run in WCW.

His career also became synonymous with popularising several innovative moves such as the Muta Lock and Asian Mist.

Despite never competing for the organisation, Muto was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2023.
