WWE Gossip Column: Kurt Angle’s future, what WWE offered Dean Ambrose to stay, Charlotte’s Flair’s plans for WrestleMania and much more
With WrestleMania season in full swing, the WWE are gearing up to the biggest event of the year

With the Royal Rumble, Raw and SmackDown Live in the books, there are plenty of questions flying around following some key revelations.
Let's dig into the gossip that is swirling around the wrestling world in our daily WWE rumour round-up.
Kurt Angle's in-ring career 'winding down'
The Olympic gold medallist took Zack Ryder's spot at the last minute in the Royal Rumble according to reports, but the WWE are looking to bring his career to a close.
Angle has suffered quite humiliating losses to Drew McIntyre and Baron Corbin in recent months and they are not humiliating because of the calibre of opponent - far from it. It's the manner of defeat for such a legendary competitor. He may get one final swansong at WrestleMania.
WWE's plans for Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 35
Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey has all the fire behind it in the world, but it seems as if the WWE is hellbent on forcing Charlotte Flair into that match and that is still the company's plan.
Fans would undoubtedly prefer to see Lynch and Rousey square off one-on-one and it would make sense if Charlotte targeted Asuka and her SmackDown Women's championship after beating her at WrestleMania last year. But, the WWE wants the triple-threat.
What Dean Ambrose was offered to stay with WWE
The WWE have now confirmed that Dean Ambrose will be leaving the company after WrestleMania 35 in April and the Lunatic Fringe informed them of his decision over the weekend prior to the Rumble.
According to, Ambrose was offered just over $1 million a year for five years to remain with the company, and that's one of the best downside guarantees on Raw. But, it's not about money to him, he's just unhappy with the company's creative direction.
Hideo Itami has been granted his release from WWE
When Kenta joined the WWE back in 2014, he was one of the top wrestlers on the planet. Now 37-years-old, his career hasn't quite moved in the direction he thought it would.
As Hideo Itami, he has been injured a fair amount between his stints in NXT and 205 Live, but the Japanese star has now requested his release and it has been granted.
Triple H behind big Seth Rollins push
Apparently Triple H is the man responsible for Seth Rollins' main event push. The Game is said to be 'all in' on the Kingslayer according to WrestleVotes and their moment to kickoff Raw was very real.
Triple H had also been lobbying for months to have Rollins face Lesnar at WrestleMania 35 and Vince McMahon finally agreed.
