Former UFC and current NXT star Matt Riddle fires personal shots at Brock Lesnar and ‘guarantees’ he will retire him from WWE

Matt Riddle is one of the fastest growing superstars in the WWE, but Lesnar may be leaving soon with UFC on his mind

Brock Lesnar went from being the Next Big Thing to the Beast Incarnate in a hurry.

After just six months on the main roster back in 2002, Lesnar had defeated The Rock for the Undisputed title at SummerSlam - cleanly - and became one of the top stars in the business.

In 2012, off the back of a sabbatical to UFC where he won their heavyweight title - Lesnar returned to the WWE and has been reigning supreme ever since.

Lesnar is a seven-time world champion between WWE and NJPW and at 41, he is still on top of the mountain with the Universal title and reportedly looking into fighting in the UFC once more.

Now, in NXT, another former UFC star, Matt Riddle, is making waves and he has his sights set squarely on Lesnar.

The King of Bros had an 8-3 MMA record with two further victories ruled no contests after he tested positive for marijuana.

Even though he fought at middleweight and welterweight during his MMA career, he has promised he will be the man to retire The Beast and took some shots at the champion's attitude.

"I like to set myself goals that seem impossible. Only one person can retire Brock Lesnar, only one person can end his career and that person is going to be me. I don't like how he does it, I don't like the [lack of] respect that he shows, and I don't like the work-rate he puts out.

"That's just my personal opinion, I think he is capable of more. Maybe it doesn't happen the first time, but I guarantee you, I'm going to beat him and I'm going to retire him."

Whenever Lesnar does decide to walk away from the WWE, it will be an enormous rub for whoever the company decides to bestow that honour upon.

Riddle is one of the hottest prospects in the company, but his window to deliver such a promise may be closing if Brock gets his way with UFC.
