Samoa Joe out for a ‘considerable amount of time’ after suffering bizarre injury filming a WWE commercial

Things haven't gone according to plan for Samoa Joe in the past couple of years.

Injuries have slowed down the Samoan Submission Machine's main roster run over the past 12 months and he's now suffered another setback.

According to , he got injured filming a commercial of all things!
"According to sources, the injury took place at a WWE commercial shoot last week when Joe hit his head during a table spot as they were filming a stunt. While it’s unconfirmed at this point, sources tell us Joe could be out of action for a considerable amount of time."

Joe had just come back from a concussion in the last month or so. He had been teaming up with Kevin Owens against Seth Rollins and his new stable.

The angle was getting hot and given that this is WrestleMania season, the timing couldn't be worse here.
The report says Joe has taken a hit to the head and that would lead one to believe he got a concussion. Multiple concussions is something that WWE takes very seriously and the 40-year-old may find it hard to get cleared if it keeps happening.

Before his last concussion, Joe was also dealing with a broken thumb. That resulted in the former NXT champion sitting behind the commentary desk to rave reviews.

It remains to be seen whether Joe will take to commentary once again or not, but if he does, it's probably a bad sign for his prognosis.
Just last month, talkSPORT spoke to Joe during Royal Rumble weekend and he spoke about how RAW's lead man Paul Heyman had plenty of ideas for him.
"It’s been going great," Joe started. "Anyone who knows Paul, he’s an extremely passionate individual. I will say this: Paul is the most charismatic pitch-man as far as wanting to do anything you will find in sports entertainment. The fans are treated to Paul Heyman soliloquies on TV all the time.

"He’s a very good wordsmith and a very good orator and imagine this on a voicemail at four in the afternoon. Just a very well-crafted, Paul Heyman little diatribe where he lays out to you [puts on Heyman’s voice] his vision of what I see! It’s fun. It’s awesome. They’re cool messages."
