The Undertaker wishes he could have faced The Fiend, who is ‘WWE’s strongest character right now’

The Undertaker wished he had faced The Fiend during his colourful and illustrious WWE career.

Last week, WWE announced The Deadman, who confirmed his retirement after beating AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36 earlier this year, will make his ‘Final Farewell’ at Survivor Series on November 22.

The appearance will mark exactly 30 years to the day that The Undertaker made his WWE debut.

In an interview with , The Undertaker revealed The Fiend, Bray Wyatt’s alter ego, is the ‘strongest character’ in WWE at the moment.

He said: “When you have people outside writing for you, sometimes they get a little carried away and you’re just like, ‘Okay, let’s do that’.

“I hope he stays really invested in it and says no when he has to say no and do what’s right for that character because it’s really the strongest character WWE has right now.â€

The Undertaker added he wishes he had ‘a little bit more gas left in the tank’ to face The Fiend.

It would have been great storytelling given how Wyatt lost to The Deadman at WrestleMania 31 in 2015.

He said: “We could have really done something special together.

“Especially since I worked with Bray right after I lost to Brock [Lesnar] that year. I think it would have been a really nice catalyst into where he’s at now.â€

Wyatt recently teased a future match between The Fiend and The Undertaker.

While promoting the ‘Final Farewell’, WWE tagged Wyatt in a seven-minute video of The Undertaker’s best matches, saying he had ‘battled them all’.

Wyatt sinisterly replied, 'Not quite ALL’ in a clear reference to The Fiend.
