Alexa Bliss to face Randy Orton in rare intergender match at WWE Fastlane as ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt could make long-awaited return

WWE have announced a rare intergender match between Alexa Bliss and Randy Orton for Fastlane.
Bliss has targeted The Viper since he set ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt on fire at TLC last December.
The former Raw Women’s champion got her revenge on Orton when she threw a fire ball at her rival’s face a month later.
And Orton was never going to let that rest as he RKO’d Bliss during a Raw Women’s Championship match with Asuka.
Despite the brutal RKO, Bliss has continued to terrorise Orton, who appeared to be cursed when coughing up black liquid in recent Raw episodes.
All of those events have led to the intergender match at Fastlane, the last pay-per-view before WrestleMania 37.
WWE rarely have men fight women inside the squared circle, however, SmackDown Women’s champion Sasha Banks did face Carmella’s former sommelier Reginald in a match in January.
Orton has also been physical with Nia Jax, Stephanie McMahon and Beth Phoenix over the years in WWE.
His match with Bliss is likely to result in the return of The Fiend, who has not been seen on WWE television since TLC.
And a high-profile match between Orton and The Fiend is expected to take place at WrestleMania 37 next month.
