Daniel Craig broke Batista’s nose in James Bond fight scene and then ran for his life – but WWE legend has a different story as he shared picture from incident on Twitter

Daniel Craig’s final outing as James Bond is upon us with No Time to Die in the cinemas for the weekend.
But the English actor thought he may have had his last hurrah when he hit WWE legend Batista on the nose while filming Spectre in 2014.
Craig accidentally broke the 6ft 3in man's nose during the filming of a fight scene and he explained on The Graham Norton Show his immediate terror.
“I was out, and then we went back and we re-filmed it, and I had to film it with a brace on and we kind of – it was a struggle to do it.
“But, I broke his nose… I didn’t do it deliberately, it was a mistake. And it was so – like I said, he’s a big guy, professional wrestler, you really wouldn’t mess with him, and I threw this punch, I hit him on the nose and I heard this crack, and I went, ‘Oh God no!’ and ran away [laughs] cause I thought he was gonna come after me.
“And he was so sweet, and he literally just did something like this [mimics re-setting a broken nose] ‘Ah, it’s fine.’ He’s a lot tougher than I am, I’ll give you that.â€
After seeing Craig’s recollection make the rounds on Twitter, Batista shared a picture of his nose following the accident.
“I dug this up. I took this right after I got cleaned up,†said Batista.
But, the soon-to-be WWE Hall of Famer had a different version of events.
“He did not run!!! He started screaming “F*** I broke his nose!!†And he did.
“And then he hugged me, apologised, we laughed, I changed clothes, shoved TP up my nose and we continued to make one of the best fight scenes ever. Very proud of it. And I love me some DC,†Batista said.
Batista played a hitman, Mr Hinx, in the film and, as you would expect, eventually met his demise at the hands of Craig.
He was set to go into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2020 but during the pandemic, that ended up being delayed. He agreed with the company to be inducted when fans could be present again.
His last appearance in a WWE ring was a retirement match against former mentor, Triple H, at WrestleMania 35.
Craig, meanwhile - a Liverpool fan - was quizzed by Reds legend Jamie Carragher about whether manager Jurgen Klopp would make a good James Bond.
"I worship him, so yes," he laughed before thinking more about the idea.
"He's a leader and I think he actually goes way beyond James Bond."
