Vince Carter wants to hold a dunk contest vs Michael Jordan and LeBron James – and already knows who the winner would be
Who is the greatest NBA dunker of all time?
Michael Jordan, LeBron James and Kobe Bryant would be near the top of the list.
But Vince Carter has another idea.
Despite being a Hall of Famer and eight-time All-Star, Carter is underrated in some ways.
He never won an MVP, played on several bad teams, and bounced around the league toward the end of his career, playing until he was 43.
But there was a time when Vinsanity was one of the most dominant players in the NBA.

There was also a time when Carter was widely viewed as the best dunker on the planet.
Could he have outdunked Jordan in his prime?
"I'm winning," Carter told . "I don't know how. But I'm winning."
The No. 5 pick of the 1998 NBA Draft threw down two years later, taking the slam crown during All-Star Weekend.
"Air Canada," one fan tweeted.
"Shaq’s and KG’s faces still hilarious to this day," a second fan posted.
When Jordan was previously asked about having a dunk contest vs Carter, he took the high road and said it would be entertaining for fans.
"I think it would be fun," Jordan said.
"He would never concede to anyone," Carter replied. "I appreciate that, because that's what the era was like.
"MJ is going to put up a fight, and I know I would have to bring it."
Jordan won back-to-back dunk titles in 1987 and '88 when dunks were still new, creative and powerful.
Carter's 2000 title is seen a high point for the contest, which has lost popularity in recent years.
Mac McClung won the last two events, despite only playing in four NBA games during his career.
Carter averaged 16.7 points and played in 1,541 games.
He spent time with Dallas, Memphis, Sacramento and Atlanta at the end of career.
The former member of the Toronto Raptors and New Jersey Nets mentioned Bryant and James when considering the possibilities of a dunk contest to end all dunk contests.
"The greats of the game in dunking, I would have loved to have had the opportunity to dunk against them," Carter said.
So would Jordan.
"Great answer by MJ and Vince," a fan tweeted. "Wish we could have witnessed that."
While Carter understandably believes in himself, NBA devotees have a different favorite.
