David Goggins puts NBA superstar through same famously brutal ‘Hell Week’ that almost broke UFC legend Tony Ferguson
Damian Lillard has sought out 'Goggins' in a bid to get back to his best.
The Milwaukee Bucks point guard is coming off a disappointing debut season in Wisconsin and has enlisted renowned former Navy SEAL and ultra-marathon David Goggins to get him in peak mental and physical condition.
Dame Time recently shared footage of himself being put through the wringer by Goggins in a series of cardio-based exercises.
"If you always do what you’ve always done … you’ll always be where you’ve always been … Much love and respect @davidgoggins," Lillard wrote on Instagram.
"I don't know what I was thinking today," Lillard shared. "I was just like, 'What does it mean if I stop?' I've said a lot of things in my life, and I felt like I was going to go against everything I ever said about myself."
"Dame training with David Goggins. It's over for the league for real," one fan commented.

"Dame is a world class athlete and Goggins kicking his a** lol. Dame's going to be a beast this year though," another posted.
"Dammit, Goggins is my favorite. I have no doubt that was the hardest training session of Dame's life," a third wrote.
Lillard has frequently discussed how he was out of shape at the start of last season with the Bucks.
He was part of a blockbuster trade from the Portland Trail Blazers and was supposed to help Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks win a second world championship.
The 34-year-old was named an All-Star but had one of his worst statistical seasons in years, averaging 24.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, 7 assists, and 1 steal in the regular season on 42.4% shooting from the field and 35.4% from three-point range.
The Bucks finished third in the Eastern Conference but failed to properly fire on all cylinders and were dumped out of the playoffs in the first round by the Indiana Pacers.
Lillard was open about his struggles playing in a new city with a new team and playing style. At the same time he was going through a difficult divorce from his college sweetheart, Kay'La, which affected his headspace.
"Gotta be able to pass a physical, so I wasn't able to get up and down at all," Lillard said. "My first day getting up and down was the first day of training camp."
At times he looked out of sorts on the court, and struggled to build chemistry with Giannis in the early part of the season.
"I ain't ever did that before," Lillard said after missing a simple pass from teammate Antetokounmpo.
Now, with Goggins' help, Lillard is on a mission to get back to the player that was voted to the NBA's 75th Anniversary Team.
Goggins is certainly the right person to get Dame in shape - the 49-yea-old American has a near-mythical cardio base and some of the best conditioning around.
It's enabled him to complete over 60 ultra-marathons, triathlons, and ultra-triathlons, hold the Guinness World Record for most pull-ups in a 24-hour span (4,030 in just 17 hours), and become a best-selling author with his two self-help memoirs 'Can't Hurt Me' and 'Never Finished'.
Lillard isn't the first athlete Goggins has worked out with in recent years.
He put UFC superstar Tony Ferguson through his infamous 'Hell Week' in the build up to El Cucuy's fight with Paddy Pimblett at UFC 296 in December.
Hell Week -- which Goggins has done three of -- is performed by US Navy SEALS as part of their training and requires them to perform physical challenges for over 20 hours a day.
Day 1 of Ferguson's Hell Week started on November 7 and involved the 155lber completing more than three hours of gruelling high-intensity cardio, over 600 push-ups, and tons of chest exercises, bike, and rowing work.
Goggins shared a video montage of Ferguson's first day in Hell Week which included the fighter throwing up into a toilet bowl out of sheer exhaustion.
Hell Week eventually came to an end with Goggins congratulating Ferguson for being the first person to ever successfully complete one of his infamous Hell Week's without quitting.

"Tony finished Hell Week today," Goggins wrote in an Instagram video of the week's tasks. "I have had many people try yet he is the first one to get through it."
Unfortunately, Ferguson lost the fight via unanimous decision and is currently on an eight-fight losing streak.
