And Bronny responded with the biggest numbers of his fledgling career on Thursday night.

He scored a game-high 30 points on 13-of-23 shooting as South Bay lost 106-100 to the Valley Suns in Tempe, Arizona.

Bronny, who was taken with the No. 55 pick in this year's draft, added three rebounds, two assists, a steal, and a block.

He came into the game after setting his previous best of 16 points against the San Diego Clippers last week

LeBron's son is averaging 14.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists across four G League appearances.

Sidelined for several weeks with a bone bruise in the left leg that underwent knee surgery in high school, the Lakers have taken their time with Bronny.

But he is starting to show potential and had one highlight-reel moment against the Suns.

Sir’Jabari Rice threw a dime and Bronny rose to slam it home before staring down the defense.

The 39-year-old announced that he was taking a break from "hate and negativity" in November.

But Stephen A. Smith thinks the 40-year-old's decision may have been due to his son's struggles.

"LeBron James electing to get off of social media. Is that because of you, LeBron James, or is it because of your son, Bronny James, and his struggles?" Smith said on First Take last month.

“So we understand that LeBron James has received a heightened level of scrutiny, but we also understand that he’s fully capable of taking and absorbing it and stomaching it. So why step away now?”

LeBron played in the Lakers' first 23 games this season but missed Sunday's victory over the Portland Trail Blazers.

He is set to sit out again against the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight due to what has been described both as foot soreness and "personal reasons."

“Obviously, there’s an elevated level of criticism that has come in his direction, as far as I’m concerned, because of the whole Bronny James situation this season,” Smith said on Thursday's edition of First Take.

“Now, when you look at the way the Lakers have been playing, you look at the load that it’s taken on him, one could argue it’s not just physical but emotional as well.
