Floyd Mayweather Jr confirms he will fight one more time this year in the UAE, with an opponent yet to be announced, following his successful exhibition bout with Don Moore

On Saturday night, Floyd Mayweather Jr returned to the ring in Abu Dhabi for an exhibition bout with his former sparring partner, Don Moore.

Mayweather Jr clearly enjoyed getting back to boxing, as smiled throughout, danced with the ring girl in between rounds and even briefly spoke to the commentators while fighting.

It appears that Mayweather Jr enjoyed himself so much that he wants to do it all over again later this year.

"I want to say thank you to the UAE (United Arab Emirates)." Mayweather Jr said during his post-fight interview.

"I waited for this moment for 26 years and we're finally here and we finally did it, so I will bring another fight back this year."

The interviewer then stopped Mayweather Jr to ask him whether he was confirming that he would fight in the UAE again this year and who his opponent would be, to which 'Money' replied, "Absolutely.

"It's a secret, I don't want to let the cat out of the bag right now, but we have an opponent and we had to choose a place and the place that I will choose is the UAE."

It is no surprise that Mayweather Jr wants to return to the UAE as this was undoubtedly a lucrative event for 'Money', previously revealing that he earned $1 million just for attending the pre-fight press conference, despite it being on the same day as the press conference for Mayweather Promotion's biggest star, Gervonta Davis.

"So they said, 'We will pay you a million dollars so we can make sure you can do it'. I wasn't going to do it Thursday... so we did it on Thursday.

"Anderson Silva had to fly out of Miami. So we couldn't do the press conference on any other day. They said, 'We'll pay you $1million to do it.' I said, 'No problem.' I can feed my family with that."

In terms of a potential next opponent, recently retired Amir Khan bumped into Mayweather Jr while in Dubai and revealed that the self-acclaimed 'Best Ever' told him they should 'get it on' and so perhaps we will see 'King Khan' in the opposite corner later in the year.
