Gervonta Davis had stunning punch power at age six as video shows him thumping unlucky child

Gervonta Davis is widely regarded as one of the hardest punchers in boxing today.

The unbeaten American southpaw has a stunning record of 26 KOs from his 28 fights thus far and so boasts a 93 per cent knockout ratio.

Davis first burst onto the world stage as a 22-year-old back in January 2017.

When fighting at super-featherweight (130lbs) he brutally knocked out Jose Pedraza to win the IBF world title.

Further stoppages of Liam Walsh, Francisco Fonseca, Jesus Cuellar, Hugo Ruiz, and Ricardo Nunez followed as Tank destroyed his overmatched competition.

In 2019 he stepped up to lightweight (135lbs) and showed his power carried through to the latter stages of a fight as he knocked out Yuriorkis Gamboa in round 12.

Next came Davis' most brutal one-punch KO to date as he returned to super-featherweight and flattened Leo Santa Cruz with a devastating uppercut.

Tank even moved up to super-lightweight (140lbs) in 2021 and knocked out Mario Barrios in the higher division.

Since he first became a world champion, only his lightweight fight against Isaac Cruz has gone the distance - a bout in which he suffered a hand injury.

Last year, Davis bludgeoned bitter rival Rolly Romero and he then stopped Hector Luis Garcia at the start of 2023.

Now, he is set for his first super fight against Ryan Garcia on Saturday night.

He will be the favourite to win this fight, with many already picking him for another KO, but where does Tank's power come from?

An old video has now emerged which seems to suggest it has always come naturally to him.

In the clip, a six-year-old Davis is seen sparring with another child in his gym.

He smashes the unlucky kid with a hard left hand which rocked his head back.

In the years since, that same punch has gone on to be one of Tank's trademarks and will no doubt be something Garcia will be wary of this weekend.
