Crowd footage shows angry fan hit Devin Haney’s father Bill Haney with beer bottle after Vasyl Lomachenko fight
Devin Haney's father and trainer Bill Haney was hit by a beer bottle thrown from the crowd while leaving arena after the Vasyl Lomachenko fight.
Haney successfully defended his undisputed WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO lightweight world titles with a debatable unanimous decision victory over the Ukrainian.
The fight was a high quality affair with several close rounds.
There were a numbers of momentum shifts as both Haney and Lomachenko adjusted at different stages and utilised their elite boxing IQs to consistently make the contest competitive.
Haney controlled a fair few of the middle rounds, but in the later stages, particularly 10 and 11, Loma appeared very much on top as he had the American hurt.
When the final bell rang it was unclear who had emerged victorious - the judges scored it 116-112, 115-113, 115-113 for Haney.

As Haney left, both he and his father and trainer Bill Haney raised their fists in triumph.
However, Haney Sr was then hit in the head by a beer bottle thrown from the crowd.
In a later interview though, he showed it did not dampen his spirits.
Bill Haney said: "The guy that hit me with the Bud Light bottle - bless you, bless you. Allahu Akbar, Alhamdulillah."
