Footage shows Conor McGregor’s teammate outdo Floyd Mayweather as he drops Aaron Chalmers twice in win

Aaron Chalmers was dropped twice as he suffered his first boxing loss on Saturday night.

The Geordie Shore star squared off against MMA fighter Kiefer Crosbie, who is a long-time training partner of Conor McGregor, during Kingpyn's boxing event at the 3Arena in Dublin.

Both men showed they were the highest-level boxers on a card full of influencers by exchanging shots in the pocket, using head movement, and impressive footwork over five rounds.

At the end of round three, they swapped uppercuts, but Crosbie was looking like the fresher man, and he made it show in the following frame.

Crosbie floored Chalmers with a massive right hand in the opening seconds of round four, but the MTV star managed to rise to his feet.

A flurry of follow-up punches dropped Chalmers again, but he got up and continued to throw shots despite being visibly hurt.

To his credit, Chalmers survived the round and saw out the final frame too.

However, it was Crosbie who walked away with a unanimous decision victory in his boxing debut, courtesy of 50-45, 50-45, and 48-45 scorecards from the ringside judges.

Post-fight, McGregor’s mate called for a fight with Tommy Fury, while it was announced Chalmers will face Love Island star Jack Fincham on a Global Titans card in the UK next month.

After winning five of his seven MMA fights, Chalmers transitioned to boxing and failed to impress as he picked up a four-round decision victory over Alexander Zeledon in June 2022.

One win over an unknown journeyman was enough to secure the 36-year-old a fight with Floyd Mayweather who has been taking exhibitions against novice fighters since retiring from professional boxing in 2017.

Chalmers managed to go eight rounds with ‘The Best Ever’ and he rarely looked troubled when they squared off against each other at London's O2 Arena, which was largely empty, on February 25.

Crosbie will be delighted to have done a better job on Chalmers than Mayweather.

It was certainly a performance that will fill him with confidence heading into potential fights with Fury, KSI, Jake Paul, and other big-name influencer boxers.
