The pair were supposed to clash in October last year, but Benn failed two drugs tests in the build-up and the fight was cancelled.

Since then, Benn has been embroiled in this scandal, which is still unresolved, but he returned to the ring in September with an unanimous decision victory over Rodolfo Orozco.

And now the fight with Eubank Jr could be back on, as promoter Eddie Hearn told talkSPORT: "The beef and the bad blood is very real between Conor Benn and Chris Eubank Jr and I would expect it to be after what happened.

"We want to close that fight in the next seven days.

"I believe you're going to see Benn vs Eubank in January, it's going to be a massive stadium fight in the UK.
