Ringside footage captures stunning moment Tyson Fury hit the ropes and was dropped by Oleksandr Usyk
Incredible ringside footage shows the moment Tyson Fury almost got knocked out by Oleksandr Usyk.
In a fight for the ages, Usyk badly hurt ‘The Gypsy King’ in the ninth round, leaving him stumbling around the ring en route to his split decision victory.
Fury did his best to remain upright and never actually touched the canvas but was deemed to have been dropped by the Ukrainian because the ropes held him up.
After Usyk was declared the undisputed WBO, WBC, WBA, and IBF heavyweight champion, shared a new angle of his biggest moment of the fight.
The ringside clip begins immediately after an overhand left badly wobbles Fury and causes him to crash into the ropes as he tries to stay on his feet.
It shows the 6ft 9in behemoth being beaten from one side of the ring to the other.

The crowd is deafeningly baying for blood as Fury stumbles side-to-side and Usyk hammers away with shots that would fold lesser men.
Fury crashed into the ropes, and they were the only reason he remained upright - so the referee gave him a standing eight-count at the very end of round nine.
Fans flocked to the comment section in awe of the new knockdown footage.
One person tweeted: “Legendary.”
Another said: "Damn that real-life camera view. Felt like I was taking those punches myself. Someone should add these footages during broadcast Gives you the exact feel!!”
Someone else wrote: “Fury took those shots man, wow.”
The Englishman looked much steadier on his legs in the remaining three frames, but he wasn’t able to get off a lot of effective offence and it cost him.
At the end of the fight, the scorecards read 115-112 and 114-113 in Usyk’s favour while the third judge gave it to Fury at 114-113 as he fell to defeat for the first time.
A rematch clause was written into both men’s contracts and Fury insists he will be triggering it ahead of a second fight later this year.
"I believe I won that fight - I believe he won a few of the rounds but I won the majority of them," he said in the ring post-fight.
"What can you do? It's one of the decisions in boxing. We both put on a good fight. Best we could do...
"I'll be back, I've got a rematch clause. We go back. Have a little rest up, spend some time with my family and we go again in October."
