Unique three-fight boxing event to be staged on Santa Monica Pier after Terence Crawford’s public workout

A special three-fight boxing show will take place on the iconic Santa Monica Pier at the end of this month.

Prior to Terence Crawford's clash with Israil Madrimov on Saturday, August 3, the American boxing star will host a fight week public workout as usual on Wednesday, July 31.

However, in a unique twist the workout will be followed by an actual boxing event.

HE Turki Alalshikh, who is staging the 'Riyadh Season Card' headlined by Crawford, announced the rare move this week.

It will be the first professional boxing event ever to take place on Santa Monica Pier.

Three up and coming prospects will appear on the card.

In the main event of the small three-fight show, Marc Castro will face George Acosta.

Castro is a 12-0 (8 KOs) American super-featherweight prospect promoted by Eddie Hearn.

In the co-main, Shakhram Giyasov fights Miguel Parra.

Giyasov is a 15-0 (9 KOs) Uzbek welterweight contender, who is chasing a world title opportunity in the near future.

And opening the card, Nathan Lugo meets Ray Corona.

Lugo is a 1-0 (1 KO) American super-middleweight prospect recently signed by Frank Warren due to his impressive amateur career.
