‘He rang my team’ – John Fury tells Darren Till what he must do to salvage Tommy Fury fight

Darren Till claims John Fury recently called his team demanding a public apology following the fallout of his son's doomed fight.

Tommy Fury and Till were due to square off at Misfits Boxing 20 last Saturday in Manchester.

However, Fury pulled out of the contest after the former UFC welterweight title challenger threatened to kick him in the head.

As a result, Anthony Taylor stepped in to replace Fury and was subsequently knocked out by Till in the sixth round.

In the immediate aftermath, the Liverpudlian called for his fight with Fury to get re-booked.

But the former Love Island star's dad won't let that happen until Till admits he was in the wrong for threatening to bend the rules.

"John Fury has rang a member of my team & informed us that he will only let Tommy fight me if I send a public apology to them,"; Till tweeted.

"So I will say I am sorry little John... Sorry that you’ve got a face like a bulldog chewing a wasp."

Prior to Fury's withdrawal, the fierce rivals met at a press conference in November.

It was all very cordial at first but the promotional event quickly erupted into chaos when Till affirmed he would boot Fury in the head if he started to lose the fight.

“At the end of the day, If I can’t beat you, I’ll just kick you in the face in there,” Till said.

“How about that? I’m a proper fighter, not a boxer. I don’t walk in a room like this and see boxing and go, ‘s***.’

"I walk in, no one here is a threat to me. Not one person in this room, security, you, your dad are not a threat to me.

"I’m an MMA fighter, so if I want to kick you or elbow you in the face, I will, and no one can do anything about it.”

Moments later, Fury Sr picked up a bottle of water and began squirting it at Till, which triggered a scuffle between both men's entourages.

Security managed to intervene before things got out of hand.

But days later Tommy released the following statement: "I can't believe I'm writing this but I am now not fighting Darren Till on January 18, 2025.
