Terence Crawford names his five greatest boxers of all-time but snubs Manny Pacquiao

Terence Crawford has snubbed Manny Pacquiao from his all-time pound-for-pound list.

Crawford is one of boxing's current leading pound-for-pound operators right now alongside the likes of Oleksandr Usyk and Canelo Alvarez.

He is a current four-weight world champion and is more than qualified to talk about some of the greats of the past.

Overall the pound-for-pound debate is tough in the current climate, but it is even tougher in the sport's entire history with the likes of Floyd Mayweather vying for top spot.

And Crawford in his pound-for-pound top five ever.

He said on Kamaru Usman and Henry Cejudo's podcast: "Wow that's tough.

"For me you've got Sugar Ray Robinson, Sugar Ray Leonard, Floyd Mayweather, Marvin Hagler and Roberto Duran."

Host Cejudo was stunned to see that Crawford had left Filipino legend Pacquiao off his list.

Crawford clarified: "Manny's a generational fighter who is very talented.

"Like he has accomplished what no other fighter is ever going to accomplish.

But given Mayweather defeated Pacquiao in their famous 2014 mega-fight, he believes 'Money' makes it in the top five.

The American makes it into most people in the boxing fraternity's list having retired undefeated with a 50-0 professional record and world titles in five weight classes.

His skillset was elite and it sees him mix with those of the past including the likes of Leonard and Robinson.

Leonard had a golden 20-year career, too winning five titles in weight classes, while forming a part of the famous 'Four Kings' alongside fellow entrant Hagler.

Hagler was also a truly gifted operator who duelled with the best, including his famous battle with Thomas Hearns in 1985.

Duran was also apart of the talented group, which many viewed as a golden era for the sport.

The Panama native had a career that spanned over five decades and saw him reign supreme in four weight classes, a true icon of the sport and a fan favourite like his fellow rivals.

And Robinson is widely considered the greatest pound-for-pound fighter ever, leaving a legacy that can only really be compared to Muhammad Ali.

He lost just once in his 132-fight career, which included an unbeaten streak of 91 outings.

Crawford is attempting to emulate the footsteps of past greats in his own career.

He is currently undefeated and has beaten a huge list of gifted fighters including Errol Spence in 2023.

Next he will attempt the impossible by piling on weight to 168lbs to face Canelo Alvarez in a huge showdown in September.

He believes a victory over the Mexican will see his name etched in history alongside these names.
