Conor McGregor tells Tyson Fury how to approach Anthony Joshua fight as UFC superstar considers boxing return to face Manny Pacquaio
Conor McGregor has offered Tyson Fury some tactical advice for his proposed fight with Anthony Joshua.
‘The Notorious’ returns to the octagon on Saturday when he faces Dustin Poirier at UFC 257 on Fight Island in Abu Dhabi.
"I would imagine he would be lighter on the feet and not as pressed forward against Joshua, and probably look to pick his pockets.
"Anthony is a powerful man. He's not the cleanest boxer technically but he is powerful and has his fundamentals down.
"It would be an interesting bout to see how both men would approach it. I'd certainly be interested to watch it."
The two best heavyweights in the world look finally set to collide at least once this year after the WBO revealed they had spoken to Oleksandr Usyk.
The Ukrainian, who is the mandatory challenger to Joshua, was insisting he fights ‘AJ’ next before Fury.
However, it is understood the 34-year-old will be offered the chance to fight for the interim title next against British brawler Joe Joyce.
