Floyd Mayweather vs Logan Paul predictions: Mike Tyson, Jake Paul, Canelo, Dana White and more preview exhibition fight
On Sunday, the great Floyd Mayweather is going to fight Logan Paul.
The legendary 50-0 fighter will take on the YouTuber-turned professional boxer (0-1) in an eight round exhibition fight with no judges, but knockouts will be allowed.
There is about five inches difference in height and expected to be around 30lbs difference in weight in Paul's favour on fight night. Paul, 26, is also 18 years younger than Mayweather.
So how do the great and the good of combat sports see the fight playing out?
Mike Tyson - former undisputed heavyweight champion
“Floyd’s gonna beat his f****** a**. But it’s gonna be good. It’s gonna be good, he’s gonna fight back though!”
Dana White - UFC president
"Listen, I understand [Logan and Jake Paul] want to make some money and they do what they got to do and they say what they got to say to try to get in there and make money.
"This is gonna be such a one-sided, ridiculous a**-whooping, it's not even going to be funny. It's going to be bad.
"If Floyd Mayweather really shows up and goes in and fights this kid, it's going to be an a**-whooping nobody has ever seen before.
"Logan is going to find out what speed is. Speed is power. And when you get hit with s*** that you don't see coming and when a guy like Floyd Mayweather starts putting it on you, it's not even going to be a fight.
"It's going to be ridiculous. It's going to be the worst a**-whooping you have ever seen. Take the size difference and all the other things, it's going to look like what a grown man could do to his kid."
Jake Paul - brother to Logan
"It’s interesting. I’m not going to sit here and be like a yes man to my brother. Just like I would want him to tell me the truth if I was doing something wrong or if I was going to make a mistake.
"There’s no path in my opinion to Logan winning the fight. Do I think he will perform better than anyone expects? Yes. Do I think it will be a fight? Yes. Do I think he comes out on top? No.
"The proof is in the pudding. Floyd has gone up against the best in the world 50 times and everyone had the chance to throw that one big punch that was going to knock him out and 50 people couldn’t land it, so why now?
"Hopefully he can be the one, but by the science of boxing it’s just hard. Floyd is so fast and shifty and he’s a defensive boxer, so it’s going to be very difficult for Logan."
Carl Froch - former super middleweight champion
"Mayweather should be far too good for him, but it's exciting and it's got your interest, because Logan Paul is so big, Mayweather has been retired for so long, and you do think, 'Oh what if Mayweather ruins his whole legacy by losing to a YouTuber?' That's the appeal.
"I don't want to say he's got a chance, but he has got a chance Logan Paul, because he looks like he can shape up quite well. He's had a couple of fights and he's so big.
"Mayweather could end up making a mockery of his whole career. If he gets caught and gets put down, it will be embarrassing. If he loses, he might as well get a one-way ticket to Australia."
Ben Askren - former MMA world champion
"Logan, that’s not going to go very well for you. [Mayweather] is the best in the world. Floyd carried Conor [McGregor] for nine rounds, I’m sure he’s going to carry Logan for a few.
"Who had a punchers chance against Floyd? He fought how many times… name anybody."
Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez - Current super middleweight champion
"Well, it’s just an exhibition. It’s about making money is all. It’s not really relevant at all, it’s just for making money. As you say, it’s stupid. I think the question [asking who wins] is offensive.
"Mayweather, obviously. I have nothing against anyone. I’m not a fan of saying bad things, but they give them boxing licences when they’re not a boxer.
"They could get them killed. This is not a soccer game, they could get them killed."
Ryan Garcia - current lightweight boxer
"I think Logan is going to win. I just have a feeling in my heart. I’d put at least $10,000 on Logan."
Tony Bellew - former cruiserweight champion
“This guy’s gonna get his backside handed to him by Floyd Mayweather.
“He’s gonna get played with, he’s gonna get absolutely schooled.
“I’m okay with you making a few quid, this is all good when they’re all making a few quid and everyone’s making some money.
“But understand, someone’s gonna get hurt doing this and then it’s gonna come back on boxing.
“So you need to take it seriously, boxing is a professional, dangerous, brutal business.
“Do not mess about and try and think this is showbusiness, it’s cameras, it’s lights, fun and games.

“It ain’t nothing funny about being in the ring with another man who wants to take your head off your neck.
“I’ve been there, I’ve done it. Believe you me, someone will get hurt in one of these fights and that’s when it’ll all come raining down."
