Canelo Alvarez reacts to Floyd Mayweather vs Logan Paul, prompting Jake Paul to hit back with vicious reply

Canelo Alvarez posted a mocking social media reaction to Floyd Mayweather's exhibition fight with Logan Paul on Sunday night, and Jake Paul replied immediately.

The American boxing legend went the distance with the YouTuber as the much-hyped event proved a relatively uneventful spectacle in the ring.

As it was an exhibition, there were no judges and so no official winner read out.

Canelo reacted by simply tweeting a facepalm emoji.

Logan's brother Jake, who has previously irritated the Mexican, was quick to respond.

He said: "You can’t sell PPVs. I would eat you alive."

Canelo previously fought Mayweather when he was just 23 and is no fan of the man who beat him on points back in 2013.

Prior to the bout with Logan, Canelo said: “Well, it’s just an exhibition. It’s about making money is all.

"It’s not really relevant at all, it’s just for making money.

"It’s stupid. I think the question [asking who wins] is offensive.

“I have nothing against anyone. I’m not a fan of saying bad things, but they give them boxing licences when they’re not a boxer.

“They could get them killed. This is not a soccer game, they could get them killed.”
