Juventus flop Aaron Ramsey asks for £6million in severance pay if he is to cut ties with Italian giants with January transfer to Arsenal or Newcastle mooted

Aaron Ramsey has requested a year’s severance pay if he is to terminate his contract at Juventus early, with the Italian giants hoping to offload the Welshman in the January transfer window.
Ramsey left Arsenal for Juventus in July 2019, signing a four-year deal as a free agent with high wages and high expectations.
The Welsh international has since failed to nail down a regular spot in Turin, featuring on 70 occasions and managing the full 90 minutes in only three matches.
Despite some positive spells under former boss Andrea Pirlo last season, Ramsey has since become surplus to requirements for the returning Max Allegri, making his £400,000 per week salary untenable.
Feeling the pandemic crunch as much as anyone, Juventus were forced to give up on project Cristiano Ronaldo during the summer, freeing up plenty of salary room with a cut-price sale to Manchester United.
The likes of Gonzalo Higuain and Miralem Pjanic have also been shifted in an effort to clear up years of overpaying, with Ramsey the next on the chopping block after playing just 111 minutes this season.
However, the Cardiff academy graduate is asking for some of his remaining salary to be paid if he is to rip up his contract that isn’t scheduled to expire until the summer of 2023.
the fee could be around £6million if Ramsey is to depart in the new year, with the likes of Newcastle and former club Arsenal linked with a move for the midfielder.
