Chelsea manger Antonio Conte: I WILL ask Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri for advice

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has revealed he will speak to Claudio Ranieri to ask for advice following Leicester’s incredible Premier League success last season.

The Foxes beat all the odds to top the league ahead of more established sides such as Arsenal, the two Manchester clubs and the Blues themselves, largely down to the work of Ranieri.

The Italian veteran made the most of a limited squad, and used a system which got the best out of the true talents such as Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez to lead the Midlands side to top spot.

Conte has a squad of more talented players at his disposal, but he has no experience of coaching in England, and the 46-year-old is to speak with Ranieri to ask for advice for his new job.

Speaking at his first press conference at Stamford Bridge, Conte said: "I will call Claudio Ranieri, first and foremost because he's a lovely man, and I will ask him a bit of advice.”

Conte refused to open up on any potential signings to be made this summer, although he sang the praises of Michy Batshuayi, the young Belgian striker who has been the only arrival in West London so far.

The Italian told talkSPORT's Warren Haughton: “He is a young player, but very strong with good technique. He uses both feet with great talent. I’m very happy that Batshuayi will stay with us, and I know the club have bought a great player for the present, and for the future.”
