Pardew escapes FA punishment following Pellegrini rant

Newcastle manager Alan Pardew has escaped punishment from the Football Association following his foul-mouthed attack on Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini.
Pardew was fuming when Cheick Tiote’s long-range stunner was controversially ruled out for offside during the Blues’ 2-0 victory at St James Park.
The Toon boss was caught on camera hurling a series of insults at the Chilean coach at half-time, though he soon apologised for his rant.
But instead of slapping the 52-year-old with a ban, the FA has instead issued a warning to Pardew, who was also involved in a running battle with match officials during the defeat, over his touchline antics.
An FA spokesman said: "We have been in contact with Alan Pardew and reminded him of his responsibilities".
