Roy Keane could actually be a nice guy, what are the odds of that?

Laura Woods recently praised the Manchester United legend for his 'generosity and warmness' but some people still may not be convinced.

It's fair to say that Keane wasn't the nicest of players on the pitch during his career...

Woods had the pleasure of working alongside Keane on ITV’s coverage of Man City’s FA Cup fifth round victory over Peterborough.

And she gave talkSPORT an insight into what it is like sitting alongside the icon.

“The game in itself, Peterborough put up such a good fight in the first half and the quality wasn’t quite there for Man City,” she said on Breakfast.

“You know what City can do, but it wasn’t quite there.

“The highlight for me, though, was sitting next to Roy Keane. I’m obsessed, I just think he’s the best person.

“He was wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. I’ve worked with him once before in the Carabao Cup final last year and was a little bit scared of him because you are as you know his persona.”

Breakfast co-host Gabby Agbonlahor said: “Maybe you need to do a Man United game where they are losing!”

Woods replied: “Maybe I’ve been lucky. With a pundit, all you can ask is they answer all your questions.

“During the game, I just sat next to him for a little bit to say ‘tell me what you think Peterborough are doing right, what more do you want from City?’

“He was so generous with his information and so warm, I just loved it. It was great.”

But if you haven't been swayed by Laura, this clip of him pulling a prank may just make you realise he's just as up for a laugh as he is for a rant..

During a spell as an assistant coach for Republic of Ireland at Euro 2016, the former midfielder produced a superb prank on a colleague.

Goalkeeping coach Seamus McDonagh was the unfortunate recipient as he hilariously lost his footing when the Man United hero produced a bit of quick thinking.

Stepping up to kick the ball forward, Keane, very funnily, edged another one towards him, causing McDonagh to miskick and slip onto his backside.

Keane and another coach were left in hysterics.

Based on the superb video, and Woods' comments about him, he may genuinely be a person that people can get along with.

Well, maybe not, Patrick Vieira.
