And, according to , Arsenal are 'in pole position' to sign Gakpo this summer.

However, there is an acceptance that the winger could move on before long, with the club's technical director, John de Jong, saying: "Gakpo will of course not stay in Eindhoven forever.
"He will go to a top club in a top league in the future. Or will that happen next summer? That's hard to say."
With Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah both out of contract this summer, it's no surprise Arsenal are looking at attacking options, including Lautaro Martinez.
The Inter Milan star is attracting significant interest after the Italian giants set an asking price for the player of £59million.
According to reports from , Arsenal have already made contact about a move for the 24-year-old after they and rivals Tottenham attempted to sign the player last summer.
